Visa & Travel Information

Essential Visa & Travel Information for Andaman Fishing Adventures

Visa Requirements

All foreign nationals visiting India require a valid visa. The Andaman & Nicobar Islands are part of India, so the same visa requirements apply:

  • Tourist Visa is sufficient for fishing trips
  • Apply through Indian embassy/consulate or e-Visa portal
  • Processing time typically 3-5 business days for e-Visa
  • Ensure passport has at least 6 months validity

We recommend applying for your visa at least 4 weeks before your planned departure.

Getting to the Andamans

The only practical way to reach the Andaman Islands is by air. There are regular flights from:

  • Delhi (with stopovers in Chennai/Kolkata)
  • Chennai (direct flights, 2.5 hours)
  • Kolkata (direct flights, 2 hours)
  • Bangalore (with stopovers)

Major airlines serving Port Blair include Air India, IndiGo, Vistara, and GoAir.

What to Pack

Essential items for your fishing adventure:

  • Lightweight, breathable clothing
  • Wide-brimmed hat & polarized sunglasses
  • High SPF sunscreen (reef-safe recommended)
  • Non-slip boat shoes
  • Basic medications and seasickness remedies
  • Photocopies of important documents
Important Note

All travelers should check current travel advisories and entry requirements before departure, as regulations may change. We recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers fishing activities.
