Health & Safety Coverage for Your Fishing Adventure

Your safety is our top priority. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel and medical insurance for all guests joining our fishing charters in the Andaman Islands.

Why You Need Insurance

Medical Emergencies

Covers hospital visits, medical evacuations, and emergency dental treatment while traveling.

Trip Protection

Protects against trip cancellations, delays, or interruptions due to covered reasons.

Lost/Delayed Baggage

Provides compensation for lost, stolen, or delayed luggage and fishing equipment.

Adventure Activities

Special coverage for fishing, snorkeling, and other water activities included in your trip.

Recommended Coverage

  • Medical Coverage: Minimum ₹50,00,000 (≈$60,000) for international guests
  • Emergency Evacuation: Including helicopter/boat evacuation if needed
  • Repatriation: Coverage to return you home if medically necessary
  • Adventure Sports: Must specifically mention saltwater fishing coverage
  • Equipment Protection: For your fishing gear (optional but recommended)

Local Medical Facilities

Important: Medical facilities in the Andaman Islands are limited compared to mainland India. Serious cases may require evacuation to Chennai or Kolkata.

GB Pant Hospital

Port Blair's main government hospital with emergency services and basic specialists.

Private Clinics

Several private clinics in Port Blair offer better facilities than government hospitals.

Insurance FAQs

No, we do not provide medical insurance. All guests are responsible for obtaining their own comprehensive travel and medical insurance prior to their trip.

You must declare all pre-existing conditions to your insurance provider. Some policies may exclude coverage for these conditions unless specifically included. We recommend consulting with your insurance provider about your specific needs.

For international guests, we've had positive feedback about World Nomads, Allianz Travel, and IMG Global. For Indian guests, consider ICICI Lombard or HDFC Ergo. Always verify that the policy covers saltwater fishing activities.
Important Reminders
  • Carry both digital and printed copies of your insurance documents
  • Save your insurance emergency contact number in your phone
  • Check if your policy requires pre-authorization for medical treatment
  • Inform us of any serious medical conditions before your trip
  • Consider DAN (Divers Alert Network) insurance if you plan to scuba dive
