The extended South Zone of the Andaman Islands, including Little Andaman, offers some of the most spectacular and least pressured game fishing opportunities in the Indian Ocean. Our carefully selected fishing grounds are home to healthy populations of Giant Trevally (GT), Dogtooth tuna, and various reef species. The crystal-clear waters and diverse marine ecosystems create perfect conditions for both popping and jigging techniques.
This special trip includes access to Little Andaman's productive waters, which are rarely fished by other operations. The extended range allows us to reach areas with larger fish and less fishing pressure. Our experienced guides know these waters intimately and will take you to the most productive spots.
The 32 ft Tropical Star is perfectly suited for fishing the extended South Zone waters, providing comfort and stability while allowing access to prime fishing locations.
On arrival at Port Blair International Airport, you will be met and assisted by our representative. Transfer by road to the accommodation at Port Blair (20 minutes by road). The rest of the day is at leisure for getting your tackle set up, meeting your guide, and discussing the fishing plan for the coming days while you relax.
Depart early to take advantage of the best tides. We'll begin fishing in the South Zone, making our way toward Little Andaman. Typical run time to the fishing spots is between 60-90 minutes. We have plenty of bottled water, soft drinks and snacks on the boat to keep you energized through the fishing day. We take freshly cooked packed lunches with us on board that are both wholesome and easy to eat. We plan our fishing activity to be back at port by 1700 as per local regulations.
Over the next 4 days, we'll explore the extended South Zone including Little Andaman's productive waters. Each day you'll depart with your boat and crew to various areas to fish different methods or target your chosen species. The extended range allows access to less-fished areas with excellent potential for trophy fish. Each evening you'll return to the guest house to relax, share stories, and prepare for the next day's adventure.
Overnight accommodation: Kokari Guesthouse or equivalent (Twin Room) with all meals included.
After exploring the extended South Zone, we'll make our way back toward Port Blair, fishing productive spots along the way. This gives us another full day of fishing while positioning ourselves for the return to port.
Transfer to the airport before your domestic flight to the mainland and your onward connecting flight. Departure time will be coordinated with your flight schedule.
For optimal fishing experience in the extended South Zone, we recommend bringing the following tackle (or rent from us):
*Permit fees are currently ₹2500 (~$40) per angler per day for foreign anglers and ₹500 per angler per day for Indian nationals. Permit fees will be collected in cash (USD or INR) at Port Blair.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your spot, with the balance due 60 days before the trip. All monies are refundable subject to our standard terms and conditions. You will need to sign an indemnity/waiver of liability form prior to getting on board.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers fishing activities and potential trip interruptions.
